The prom season continues and we were fortunate enough to provide the Somerset photo booth for Gryphon School’s Year 13 Prom. Beth from the school was one of the organisers for the 17 and 18-year old students who were celebrating their final year at the school. They were holding their event at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Ilchester, Somerset.
High Flying Students
The Fleet Air Arm Museum represents the flying arm of the Royal Navy and this was the first event we’ve covered there. We regularly work at other Royal Navy museums such as HMS Victory, The Submarine Museum and The Royal Marines Museum which are based in Portsmouth and quite local to us.
Like many museums, there is a lot of space for events. In addition to the room available, museums can provide stunning backdrops for an evening’s formalities.
Top Gun Bob O’Tron
Booth Butler for the night was Bob O’Tron. He was chosen to cover this event because we know how much of a plane-geek he is. When he’s not booth butlering or running his own photography company, you can find him on a Welsh mountain somewhere photographing military aircraft.
Around 150-students attended the prom. Glamorous young ladies were escorted by tuxedo-clad gents and the atmosphere was charged with excitement. Once the booth was open it was in full swing. 280-photographs were taken and there would have many more if the party had gone on longer. In conclusion, it was quite clear that these guys are photo booth pros.

Thank you Gryphon School for hiring our Somerset photo booth for your Year 13 prom. It was a fabulous evening and a real pleasure to work with such friendly and well rounded young people.
